Learning machine learning can seem tough because of all the math and code, but I found some tips that really helped me out. At first, I thought these were big secrets because nobody taught them, but they’re actually pretty simple things that everyone should know.
I’ve been studying machine learning for over five years, and it took me a while to figure these things out on my own. So, I want to share them with you so you don’t have to struggle like I did.

First off, we often get math wrong by making it more complicated than it needs to be. When I was at university, my teachers would just show us a formula and expect us to get it. But that didn’t work for me. I realized I was looking at math all wrong. I was trying to understand every little part of the formula without seeing the big picture.
